What properties need
Hotels carry two networks in one building: the one guests judge you on, and the one your staff depends on. Both have to hold up on your busiest night.
Guests judge the network in their room, not in the lobby. Coverage has to survive interior walls, elevator shafts and the gap between floors.
Property management, payment terminals and reservations run on the same infrastructure as guest traffic. Check-in cannot wait for a congested link.
Room phones, corridor cameras and door hardware all draw power from the switch. The budget has to cover every powered device on that floor at once.
Guest devices belong nowhere near property management, payment or building systems. Segmentation is the control that keeps them apart.
Guest rooms, corridors, event space and outdoor areas each behave differently. Exterior locations need hardware with an official environmental rating for that use.
